1. Introduction

Welcome to Rently (PTY) LTD ("Rently," "We," "Our," or "Us"). We are dedicated to empowering individuals with their identity through our identity verification and attestation services in a secure manner. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you interact with our website, www.rently.mobi, and use our verification services. Your privacy matters to us, and we strive to maintain the highest standards of data protection. Please take the time to read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal information. By accessing or using our website and services, you consent to the practices described herein.*

2. Information We Collect and How We Collect It

To provide our Verification Services, we require specific user information. The exact details vary based on the type of verification being conducted. For instance, during Identity Document verification, we request the unique identification number of the user ("subject") ID, the user's date of birth, first name, and last name. We subsequently verify the authenticity of the provided identity document by cross-referencing it with our data providers. We may also request a photo or video of the user's face, which we'll match with the identity document to ensure congruence. If successful, the user will be deemed to have verified their identity. Similarly, for address verification, we request the user's first name, last name, and physical address, which we verify by matching with existing data or dispatching a field agent for validation. Consent for verification is obtained either through client contracts or, when engaging directly with Youverify, our choice customer verification method, through checkboxes and clearly labeled buttons with accompanying explanatory text.*

3. Rently Data Lifecycle and Verification Classification

Upon completing a verification, we provide a Rently Report to the client. This report includes recommendations and reasoning generated from machine learning models, human processes, and data from data providers. To stay current, consult our Technical Documentation. Rently Reports empower clients to make informed decisions and aid users encountering verification challenges.

4. Data Logging

We maintain logs of various interactions to ensure the integrity of our services, improve the user experience, and protect the security and privacy of our users. The logged data includes but is not limited to:

  • Transaction History: We keep records of transactions, including verification activities and payment history.
  • Verification Results: We log whether identity verifications are successful or have failed to ensure platform security and provide assistance when necessary.
  • Addresses and Location Data: Information entered in our system, specifically related to addresses, and location data obtained from form submissions and search bar usage.
